These pages provide an overview of the disassembly process I followed. I haven’t gone into too much detail of each stage as this has been covered in great detail elsewhere. (Reference Valve Chatter and Jaguar Mk2 Restoration). I tried to follow a reasonably logical sequence, finishing one area before moving onto the next. Overview of bodywork removal
Removal of all the interior trim, dash and the wiring loom. Plenty of tests of patience.
Removing the heater, braking system and other components.
Removing the remaining underbody parts which were helpfully coated in liberal doses of leaked oil.
